Workforce Skills

Skills are reusable internal methods for completing a defined type of work consistently. A skill may specify inputs, research methods, evaluation criteria, output structure, quality checks, and escalation conditions.

How skills support delivery

When a customer requests work, the THINK Strategist identifies the appropriate Managed Team assignments. The workforce applies approved skills to prepare the requested artifact. The strategist reviews the work against the agreed objective and quality standard before presenting it to the customer.

For example, capture qualification may use a repeatable assessment method to produce a documented go/no-go recommendation. The customer receives the assessment, not a skill package to install.

Governance

Skills do not grant authority to access customer systems or make commitments. Permissions, customer instructions, and approval requirements still apply. Changes to internal methods are managed by Compound Leverage.

See Managed Capture Team and Security and Governance.

Skill design

FieldPurpose
ObjectiveDefines the repeatable task and intended outcome
InputsRequired source material and customer context
MethodSteps and analysis approach
OutputExpected format or work artifact
ChecksQuality and evidence requirements
EscalationConditions requiring judgment or more information

Worked example: qualification

A qualification method can take a solicitation, customer capabilities, and pursuit criteria as inputs. It produces a structured assessment of fit, missing evidence, and recommended next steps. The strategist checks the result before presenting it; the customer retains the pursuit decision.

A software-development method may instead define implementation steps, tests, and review requirements. The same distinction applies: the method does not grant access or production-deployment authority.

Technical boundaries

Skills describe how to do work. Digital Employees own which job to do. The Harness resolves governed context and capabilities. Team orchestrators own workflow transitions.
